Often miss-dated, these jugs were made in Japan by Marutomo Ware and imported in great numbers to Australian and New Zealand in 1936. There are at least 6 variations of this jug, including 2 sizes. They were a copy of a jug designed by Charles Lowther and made in limited numbers at the Bristol Pottery, Brisbane in 1934.
