Brief Description
Group photograph of the Melbourne Cricket Club cricket team, posing for a formal portrait in front of the Grey Smith Stand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Eighteen men appear, ten wearing cricket whites and the others dressed in suits and ties. The photograph is housed in its original mount, made from card with imitation wood surface, which bears a number of inscriptions including the title, "METROPOLITAN CRICKET LEAGUE", a summary of the team's performance for the season, and the names of the players. Two oval-shaped windows are cut into the lower part, but the photographs that they housed are missing. Reg number inscribed bottom left reverse and VCCCM ID bottom right reverse.
