Brief Description
Wooden cricket bat, sealed with spliced handle, and with black rubber grip. On the face imprinted twice is the maker's mark, "STUART SURRIDGE" with the image of a man on horse back. The back of the bat features a paper label and EXTRA SPECIAL. The bat has been autographed by members of the Australian and English cricket teams from the 1954-55 series, and includes the autographs of: (Eng.) L. Hutton, P. May, C. Cowdrey, W. Edrich, D. Compton, F. Tyson, K. Andrew, A. Bedser, R. Appleyard, G. Evans, B. Statham, T. Graveney, P. Loader, R. Simpson, J. Wardle, V. Wilson, T. Bailey. (Aust.) K. Miller, R. Benaud; the other team members autographs are illegible.
