Brief Description
Cricket bat, used by Arthur Gilligan, a member of the English Cricket Team 1923-24. Bat has been signed by members of that team, as well as the Australian Cricket Team 1923-24. Front of bat also features four caricatures, drawn by Arthur Mailey. Manufacturer of the bat is "EMPIRE". Cricket bat was later presented to J T Sutcliffe, for winning the batting and bowling averages whilst playing with South and Port Thistle Club at Middle Park, Victoria.
