Brief Description
Framed sepia photograph of 11 men in cricket whites and blazers, and five men in suits, back row standing, front row sitting, two men seated on ground. Posing in front of a wooden fence with a small tree. Heading reads THE AUSTRALIANS, 1888. SIXTH TEAM. Printed underneath are the names of the men in photo. Hand-written inscription under names reads WITH THE COMPLIMENTS OF / THE AUSTRALIAN XI - 1888. Lower centre inscription "PHOTOGRAPHED AT KENNINGTON OVAL, MAY 14TH". Another hand-written inscription beneath reads TESTS PLAYED 3. WON 1. LOST 2. Off-white window mount, wooden frame.
