Brief Description
White usherette dress, cardigan and hat worn by Susan Oliver whilst volunteering at the Davis Cup at Kooyong, 1966. Dress is white thin polyester with side zip, scoop neck, drop shoulder sleeves, drop waist and pleated skirt. White embroidered design around the hem features racquets, balls and nets in a repeated pattern. Cream coloured nylon knitted cardigan features round bulbous white translucent plastic buttons. White bucket hat features 22 signatures of tennis players in blue ink, collected by Oliver at the Davis Cup. Brown staining over some signatures is evidence of Oliver's attempts to preserve them with nail polish.
