Brief Description
The obverse of the bronze medal depicts Nike, the traditional goddess of Victory, holding a winner's laurel crown and a palm leaf with a raised embossed inscription reading, "XXIII / OLYMPIAD / LOS ANGELES / 1984".
The verso shows a triumphant champion being carried out of an Olympic stadium by a cheering crowd. Suspension rings attach an aqua, yellow and pink ribbon to the medal.
