Brief Description
A light coloured plaited straw boater with a broad brim and shallow crown, created and worn by MCC member, Norma Long during the 2000s. A red, white and blue MCC tie has been used as a hat band and is fixed around the crown of the hat, with two lengths cascading down the back. The inside of the hat has a length of elastic around the inner band with a thin chin strap, and a piece of grey foam at the front for comfort.
