Brief Description
A colour, cartoon-style promotional poster advertising Matilda, the official mascot for the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane. A smiling Matilda is featured in the centre of the poster, holding up what appears to be a white medal around her neck with the blue and red Games logo. "MATILDA" is included in large type at the top of the poster, with extra information below: "OFFICIAL MASCOT / XII COMMONWEALTH GAMES / AUSTRALIA 1982 / BRISBANE SEPT. 30-OCT.9 / SUPPORT MATILDA ~ SUPPORT THE GAMES." A small Games logo and copyright statement is in the bottom left corner.
