Brief Description
A promotional poster featuring a colour photograph of the 1982 Brisbane Commonwealth Games archery event, including inset images of the shooting and badminton events. Each image features one athlete in action in the respecting sport. The middle right of the poster reads "XII COMMONWEALTH GAMES / SEPT 30 TO OCT 9" alongside the Games logo. Below in white, yellow and red artistic type is "BRISBANE / AUSTRALIA / 82 / A SPECTACULAR OF SPORT." Copyright information is in fine print on the base alongside the Games logo.

I am the archer in this picture - (Michael Hennessy), aged 20 years when the photo was taken. This was "staged" as a promotional photo for the poster for the commonwealth games. I was not successful making it to the Austalian archery team for the commonwealth games competition. The archer who is out of shot to left, tip of bow stabilizer visible to the left is Geoff Burnell-Jones who made the archery team for the games.
