Stamped and engraved lettering on the shield reads 'AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP/ 25 MILES/ HELD BY THE LEAGUE/ OF VICTORIAN WHEELMEN/ PRESENTED BY DUNLOP RUBBER CO/ Won By M. CHAPPELL/ TIME 1hr. 19 MIN. 15 SEC./SEPT. 26TH 1908'. Pin and hook clasp on the reverse.
