Brief Description
A large, oval silverplate salver awarded to Roy Park by Wesley College for best batting and bowling average in 1911. The front features a modest detailed border with handles and the inscription in the centre reads, "WESLEY / COLLEGE / 1911 / BATTING AVERAGE / BOWLING AVERAGE / R.L. PARK" and to the right a trade mark on the rim, a pennant containing "W&H". Verso features the trade mark again with a date letter; Hebrew symbol for 'Pi' in a lobed contour, as well as "53522A / WALKER & HALL / SHEFFIELD / ENGLAND". To the other side of the salver the number "47" and the Hebrew date letter, Hebrew symbol for 'Nun' or 50.
