Brief Description
Adelaide Oval Centenary of Test Cricket award in case presented to Ian Johnson, 1984. The case has a light brown velvety covering with a creamy satin lining, with fixed metal award encased. The award itself features a representation of the Adelaide Oval's scoreboard with a ribbon reading, "ADELAIDE OVAL CENTENARY TEST", the South Australian Cricket Association emblem in the centre; a magpie and cricket stumps, and the dates "1884 1984" either side. Beneath is a seperate plaque with inscription: "PRESENTED TO / I.W JOHNSON O.B.E / BY THE SOUTH AUSTRALIAN CRICKET ASSOCIATION / IN RECOGNITION OF YOUR CONTRIBUTION / TO A CENTURY OF TEST CRICKET AT / ADELAIDE OVAL / DECEMBER 1984".
