Brief Description
A large green cloth hardback scrap album compiled by Albert Broomham throughout his rugby career. Text, "SCRAP ALBUM", is embellished in white on the front cover. Featuring an assortment of newspaper articles, photos, cartoons, poems, relating to the 1911/12 Australasian rugby league teams' efforts during their tour of England, publications include 'The Northern Union News', and 'Manchester Evening Chronicles.' Of interest, is an article explaining the team mascot, 'snugly esconed in it's wicker cage, was a wallaby.' A large selection of souvenirs: items relating to the journey between Australia and England aboard the RMS Oriveto including menus/programmes, tramway and omnibus ticket stubs from various cities, tickets to the 'London Palladium' and cricket matches, and coloured advertising prints and posters.
