Brief Description
Paper poster produced by the Herald and Weekly Times newspaper. Poster features a head and shoulders cartoon portrait of a demon at centre, wearing a Melbourne Football Club guernsey. Large text printed on poster reads 'SATURDAY/HERALD/'55 '56 '57 ' at top, and 'PREMIERS' at bottom. The demon figure is holding up three fingers on his left hand to signify Melbourne's three consecutive premierships, with the three upraised fingers pointing to the three years printed at the top of the poster. A facsimile of the artist's signature is printed below the left arm of the figure. The date of issue of the poster is printed at bottom right and reads 'SATURDAY, SEPT. 21, 1957'.
