Brief Description
Letter addressed to Keith Miller from Malcolm Hazel, Official Secretary to the Govenor-General, informing the recipient that the Govenor-General would like to appoint him to membership in the General Division of the Order of Australia, "For service to sport, particularly to cricket as a player, journalist and commentator". Letter is dated 14th September 2004. The letter is contained in an envelope addressed to Mr Keith Miller MBE, with the official insignia of the Governor-General, a crown and a wattle branch. The letter is accompanied by a double sided information sheet with general information about the nomination form for the Order of Australia, and a colour brochure with photographic images of the categories of medal for the Order of Australia. These items were produced by the Office of the Official Secretary to the Govenor-General at Government House in Canberra.
