Brief Description
Wooden presentation cricket stump with metal ferrules. A metal band around the middle has been engraved with an inscription, reads, "MR E. SPOFFORTH / FROM MR CHAS THORNE / MEMENTO / INTERCOLONIAL MATCH / VICTORIA V N.S. WALES / SYDNEY / 1876", with the initials "ES" engraved on the other side. The point of the stump is covered with brass, and initials are imprinted in the wood near the ferrule, "NSWCA" (New South Wales Cricket Association).
