Brief Description
Cricket bat of dark wood, unsealed, spliced blade with damaged black twine binding handle. Front features stamped impression of the maker's details. It reads, "BATES.CENTRAL / SPORTSCO.LD. / NOTTINGHAM. / 'Colonial' / 'Specially Selected' / J L Crawford". Reverse stamp impression reads, "SPRING HANDLE". Also handwritten impression of text near top right of shoulder on both sides.
