Brief Description
Cricket bat with Arthur Mailey cartoon & Test player autographs. Bat is unsealed, with spliced blade and black twine binding handle. Front bears maker's stamp that reads, in part, "GRADIGE / WOOLWICH... / Walter R. Hammond / SUPER". Handwritten text on blade reads, "To / Barry from / Walter R. Hammond / 1932". Reverse bears maker's stamp, players' signatures and a caricature of a cricketer sketched by Arthur Mailey.
