Brief Description
Cross shaped metal medallion. Front of medallion bears a raised image of the Royal Life Saving Society's logo in the centre of the cross, consisting of a pair of crossed oars and a rope in the shape of a three leaf clover, surrounded by the text 'ROYAL LIFE SAVING/ SOCIETY'. This logo is surrounded by a raised wreath decoration. Top point of front of cross carries the word 'BRONZE' in raised lettering. Bottom point of front of cross carries the word 'CROSS'. Reverse of medal is engraved with the text 'J. PINCUS/V/1953.' Circular fitting attached to top of medallion to enable it to be hung.
