Brief Description
Negative, image of fifteen men arranged into three rows, sitting and standing outdoors. Eleven are wearing cricket whites: three have blazers on, two are in suits and bowler hats. The image shows one of the teams from the 1890 Intercolonial cricket match between Victoria and Tasmania. The photograph is mounted on a piece of card, and on the reverse is a handwritten inscription that reads, "Intercolonial Match / Victoria v Tasmania / Played at Hobart on 8th & 9th January 1890 / won by Victoria by an innings and 149 runs / A souvenir of the match / From yours sincerely / [..?..] / Manager".
