Brief Description
Baggy green cap with framed presentation box and backing/mount board. Cap has a metal bullion badge at front, featuring the Australian coat of arms above a red scroll. The scroll is embroidered with the words 'ADVANCE AUSTRALIA'. Cap was originally pinned to the inside of a wooden box with a glass top, surrounded by a rectangular wooden frame, but has been removed from the case. Frame of case (Part 2) is black, but inner and outer borders of frame have been coloured gold, and middle section of frame adjoining inner and outer borders has been coloured green. Handwriting on backing board for case (Part 3) details provenance of object.
