Brief Description
Circular medallion. Front of medallion carries a raised image of a right handed batsman preparing to face a delivery. The batsman is taking guard in front of a set of stumps, with a wicketkeeper crouching in readiness behind the stumps. A wreath design encircles the medal on the reverse. Centre of reverse is inscribed with the text with "THE ARMY/ v./AUSTRALIA./ALDERSHOT/AUGUST 1938". There is some small text along edge of medal below the foot of the batsman which in part reads 'ALDERSHOT'.
