Brief Description
Print of the Melbourne Football Club team of 1956. Print depicts Melbourne players and coaching staff in the change rooms, prior to the 1956 VFL Grand Final. The name of each figure in the scene is printed below the image, along with the number '1956' in large font at the bottom right hand corner. Title below image reads, "The Finest Melbourne Side of All". Metal plaque below title is printed with a Melbourne Football Club logo on each side and reads, "MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB / 1956 VFL Premiers / RECORD WINNING SEASON / P:20 W:18 D:0 L:2". Print is set in a mount of white card, inside a wood and glass frame. The mount board below the image has been signed by John Beckwith, Ron Barassi and Noel McMahen. The mount board has also been signed by the artist (Owen Abrahams) in the bottom right hand corner and is numbered, 47/56. There is a thin synthetic cord attached to the reverse of the frame for hanging. Reverse is otherwise plain.
