Brief Description
Gold coloured metal relay torch. Torch is in the shape of a triangular cylinder, tapering from top to base. Consists of an inner and outer layer aluminium alloy skin, help in place by a cast top piece and base. Top section of torch contains the piping for the gas flame and a fitting for attaching a gas bottle. 2012 London Olympics logo is affixed in gold coloured metal to the front of the torch, towards the top. Torch is stored in a calico bag. Both sides of bag are printed with a small 2012 London Olympics logo in black towards the top of the bag, above the text 'Olympic/Torch Relay'. Bag is fastened by a drawstring. Sticker stuck to one side of the bag is printed with the text 'Day 23/010', and contains the name of the torchbearer handwritten in black pen.
