Brief Description
Green felt blazer with gold ribbon trim on left breast pocket, two lower pockets and on the forearms of both sleeves. The breast pocket features an embroidered kangaroo, emu and shield, as part of the Australian coat of arms, with the word AUSTRALIA embroidered on a white panel, and OLYMPIC GAMES 1948 sewn below in yellow thread. There is one remaining brass button of the original three, and the makers name sewn inside reads DAVID LACK/ PTY LTD / MELBOURNE. The white cotton name tag of the wearer is sewn inside under the right arm, and reads 4435 / STRICKLAND, S. Hanky found in pocket.
