Brief Description
Small white silk scarf. Central design on scarf depicts an image of the Olympic Rings superimposed over an Olympic torch and is surrounded by the words 'OLYMPIC GAMES/Melbourne/22nd November - 8th DECEMBER, 1956'. There are four smaller images in each corner of the central panel. These designs depict Australia at the top left and bottom right, and the Australian flag at bottom left and top right. Each of these four images is surrounded by a green wreath. Border of scarf consists of five stripes, with each stripe being one of the Olympic colours - blue, yellow, black, green and red. Blue spears in each corner of scarf is printed with an image of the Olympic rings. Tag at bottom left hand corner reads 'PURE SILK/HAND ROLLED/MADE IN JAPAN'.
