Brief Description
Yellow paper envelope containing five flyers and booklets relating to Adelaide. First document is a programme. Cover of programme is edged in gold, is printed with a magpie logo (South Australian Publicity and Tourist Bureau logo) and the reads 'WOMEN'S INTERSTATE CRICKET/ TOURNAMENT/Adelaide/13th - 21st JANUARY, 1967'. Programme contains a welcome message, itinerary, match draw, and squad summaries of the participating teams (NSW, Victoria, WA and SA). Second document is a brochure, the title of which reads 'DAY/and/HALF DAY/TOURS/from ADELAIDE'. Cover carries an mage of a bus and a scenic view on an orange background. Brochure contains details on fifteen trips and a map. Third document is a brochure on Adelaide dining. Cover is a green watercolour style print showing a scene of Adelaide above a representation of a couple at a buffet table with a chef. Title of brochure reads 'DINING IN ADELAIDE'. Contains recommendations on dining, floor shows, coffee lounges and espresso bars within Adelaide, as well as dining highlight within a day of Adelaide. Fourth document is a tourist map of Adelaide. Cover has a black and white photo of Adelaide on a yellow background and the text 'A GUIDE TO ADELAIDE/ADELAIDE/AND SUBURBS/TOURIST MAP/SOUTH AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT TOURIST BUREAU'. Cover also carries the logo of the South Australian Publicity and Tourist Bureau, consisting of an image of a magpie. Fifth document is a booklet offering suggestions for Adelaide sightseeing. Cover shows a picture of Adelaide from Torrens Lake and carries the title 'Sightseeing around ADELAIDE' on a green background. Booklet is 13 pages long plus cover. Envelope in which the brochures are enclosed carries the text 'P.THOMSON.' in black marker on the front.
