Brief Description
Royal Crown Derby two-handled 'loving' cup. One side of cup bears gold gilt text which reads 'A Memento/of/20th Australian XI's/visit to Derby/July 1948'. The text is surrounded by a decorative border and sits above two small images of pink and purple flowers. Opposing side of cup bears a design of summer flowers. Two two handles and top and bottom rims of cup and painted gold. Writing printed on underside of base of cup reads 'R.Hamence./South Australia.' in gold. Centre of underside of base bears red stamp which contains the Royal Crown Derby logo and reads 'ROYAL CROWN DERBY/MADE IN ENGLAND/IX'.
