Brief Description
Melbourne Cricket Club Medallion from 1948/49 season. Circular shaped medallion features blue enamelled outer rim that reads MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB in gold. Red and white MCC monogram in centre, shaped like a shield with a red horizontal line (featuring 'MCC') above three red and two white intervening vertical lines. Also features white scroll on bottom edge with gold dates. Brass reverse features Membership Number 2059, Full Member, and reads 'SEASON ENDS / 31st AUG '49 / NOT TRANSFERABLE / K. G. LUKE / MELB.' Red lanyard attached.
