Brief Description
Melbourne Cricket Club Membership Medallion from 1988/89 season. Curved-bottom shield shaped medallion features red enamelled top half with brass dates on left (1838) and right (1988) of centred MCC monogram. Below monogram is '150' to celebrate 150 years. On either side of '150' are white enamelled squares with '88' on left and '89' on right. Bottom half of medallion features blue enamelled outer rim that reads 'MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB' which surrounds a brass and blue enamelled 'C'. Brass back features Membership Number C732, Country Member, and reads ' EXPIRES / 31-8-89 / NOT TRANSFERABLE / PERFECTION BADGES / SYDNEY 770775.' Gold lanyard attached.
