Brief Description
Two Melbourne Cricket Club Membership Medallions from seasons 1946/47 and 1955/56, attached to maroon, white and blue lanyard. Melbourne Cricket Club medallion from 1946/47 season, diamond shape medallion features white enamel outer rim that reads MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB, red enamel detail with gold dates top left and right, and blue enamel circle in centre with gold MCC monogram. Brass back features Membership Number 5061, Full Member and reads 'SEASON ENDS 31st AUG 1947 / NOT / TRANSFERABLE / K. G. LUKE / MELB.' Melbourne Cricket Club Membership medallion from 1955/56 season, diamond shaped medallion with white enamel lower outer rim that reads MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB, red enamel top rim with gold dates and blue enamelled centre with gold MCC monogram, and brass floral design on upper outer rim. Brass back features Membership Number 3610, Full Member, and reads 'NOT / TRANSFERABLE / SEASON ENDS / 31st AUG 1956 / BERTRAM BROS / MELB.'
