Brief Description
Melbourne Cricket Club Medallion from 1947/48 season. Shaped like a rounded diamond on top of a rectangle, features red background with gold dates on the lower outer rim. White half-diamond panel reads MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB. Inner brass shield contains blue enamelled oval with gold MCC monogram in centre. Brass reverse features Membership Number 2149, Full Member, and reads 'SEASON ENDS / 31st AUG 1948 / NOT / TRANSFERABLE / K. G. LUKE MELB.'
