Brief Description
Red leather cricket ball in storage box, with business card. Ball is a four-piece leather ball, scuffed and abraded from match use. Cardboard storage box is square, and is branded with the 'Kookaburra' logo on the front, back and lid. Handwriting on the inside of the lid reads 'ENGLAND/2ND INN/BALL 1'. Handwriting on the right inner flap of box reads 'Held for National/ Sports Museum.' and is initialled by Peter Young, Cricket Australia's General Manager of Public Affairs. Business card is that of Peter Young, bearing his contact details and the Cricket Australia logo on the front. Reverse of business card bears handwriting which reads '16.3.11/This ball was used/by England during the/2010-11 season Vodafone/Boxing Day Test at the/MCG.' Below this text, the back of the card is signed by Peter Young.
