The first stamp depicts a boxer on a red background, the second an archer on a green background, the third a weightlifter on a brown background and the fourth a pole vaulter on a blue background. To the right of the stamps is a circular post mark feature a weightlifter motif surrounded by the text, "XII Commonwealth Games / BRISBANE WLD 4000 // 30 SEP 1982". The fourth row contains 4 stamps - 2 single stamp and three stamps that are part of a series and attached in their original card.
