Brief Description
Melbourne Cricket Club membership medallion, for the season 1989-90. Medallion is of pentagonal shape, and features red, black, yellow and gold enamel decoration, with a red cord attached to the top. On the front, MCC is inscribed in gold lettering on red and black enamel. The membership number, 9980, appears in light yellow enamel on a gold strip across the bottom, and in the centre is a large capital F in light yellow enamel framed in gold, beside the years 89 and 90, on the black enamel background. Inscription in rectangle on reverse reads, "EXPIRES / 31-8-90 / NOT TRANSFERABLE", with the manufacturer's details in a rectangle below, against a background of fine radiating lines.
