Brief Description
Melbourne Cricket Club full membership medallion for the season 1979-80. Medallion is irregular hexagonal-shape, with red cord threaded through hole in top. Obverse features red, blue and white enamel decoration on the gilt-coloured metal base: at top is featured a stylised MCC logo in gold lettering on a blue background; the middle gold band features the medallion number (F10218) in white enamel; and the lower section features the years "79-80" in gold on red background, with radiating lines around it in gold. Inscription embossed on reverse reads, "MEMBER / NOT TRANSFERABLE / SEASON ENDS / 31ST AUGUST 1980", and the manufacturer's details below, "PERFECTION BADGES / MELBOURNE 63-2399".
