Brief Description
Red, navy blue and black velvet rugby cap with gold corded ribbon, trimming and a brocade tassel. Awarded to Australian Robert Robertson "Bob" Craig in 1910.
Embroidered in gold on the blue velvet section at the cap is, "AUSTRALASIA / R / L.L" above the gold embroidered motifs of a kangaroo representing Australia (on the left) and a silver fern representing New Zealand (right).
Embroidered in gold on the brim of the cap is the date, "1910". Embroidered on the red velvet panel to the right of the front is the date, "1911", and on the black velvet panel to the right of this is the date, "1912".
Inside the cap is sewn a white manufacturer's tag that reads, 'J. Pearson / SYDNEY ARCADE / & 114 KING STREET / SYDNEY".
