Brief Description
Black and white reproduction of photograph of Australia's first national touring team - the Australian Aboriginal Cricket Team of 1866 and their coach, T.W. Wills - , on the Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of the 1854 Pavilion. Of the 11 men, five are standing and 6 are seated on chairs. The team of 10 aboriginal men wear the uniform of jackets buttoned at the top over vests, white shirts and pants, and hold boater hats, while the coach in the centre, T.W. Wills, wears a lighter jacket and a baggy cap. Includes mat and backboards with inscriptions.
