Brief Description
Round metal MCC membership medallion, the obverse featuring blue, red, gold and white enamelling, with blue rope-cord attached. Inscription in gold on white outer circle of medallion reads, "MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB", and on a vertical blue strip on red background through circle is further text, reads, "MCC / 51 - 52". Gilt decoration either side of vertical strip. Inscription embossed on reverse reads, "SEASON ENDS / 31ST AUG. 1952 / COUNTRY", and below is debossed the membership number, "C - 558". A hallmark is embossed at bottom, "K.G. LUKE MELB". Hole at top with suspension ring attached to blue rope.
