Brief Description
Round metal MCC membership medallion with gilt as well as red, blue and white enamel decoration, with red cord attached. MCC embossed at centre atop red and white striped shield, all surrounded by inscription on blue, reads, "MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB". The years 1948 - 1949 in gold on white scroll surmounted at bottom of circle. Inscription embossed on reverse reads, "SEASON ENDS / 31ST. AUG. '49", and in centre is debossed the membership number 3066. Below is embossed text, reads, "NOT / TRANSFERABLE", and a hallmark, reads, "K.G. LUKE / MELB". Hole with suspension ring attached to red cord.
