Object Detail

Brief Description
Teardrop-shaped, gilt metal MCC membership medallion, the obverse featuring blue, red and white enamelling and gold lettering. Inscription around blue outer edge reads, "MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB 1940 - 1941", inside of which is a white circle emblazoned with the emblem of the MCC. A membership number, "C / 384", has been debossed on the reverse, above which is debossed text, "NOT / TRANSFERRABLE / SEASON ENDS / AUG. 31ST / 1941", with the hallmark, "KG LUKE / MELB", beneath. Hole at top with suspension ring attached.
