Brief Description
Bronze coloured commemorative medal encased in duranol awarded to Ray Todd. The front of the medal features an Olympic ring design through which a kangaroo is poking its head and a coat of arms design with the words 'VIRES ACQU (text obscured) RIT EUNDO". Encircling text reads 'OLYMPIC GAMES MELBOURNE/1956'. Obverse of medal shows a succession of figures marching in a circle around the circumference of the medal, one bearing the Olympic flag which flies in the middle of the design. Flag is encircled by the Olympic motto 'CITIUS ALTIUS FORTIUS' (Faster Higher Stronger). Casing bears the word 'DURANOL' on the frontrim and 'K.G LUKE MEDALLIST' on the obverse.
