Brief Description
7 inch aluminium record coated with a black polymer. Record contains a sound recording of cricketer Graham McKenzie reading a Christmas message home to Australia during tour of South Africa. This object consists of three parts, including a record, and 2 sleeves, one paper, one plastic.

Attached to both sides of the record is a circular green and white sticker with "JOHN B / PRIVATE RECORDINGS" written as a title with an emblem composed of the letter 'J' and the figure of a bee. Below this reads "TELEPHONES WF8336 / AUDITION DISC ONLY / AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TOUR SOUTH AFRICA 1966-1967 / CHRISTMAS MESSAGE // GRAHAM McKENZIE / SPEED 45". One side of the disc has also been marked in blue pen with a 'X'.

Written on white stickers affixed to the paper cover is " "JOHN-B" PRIVATE RECORDINGS / STUDIOS: 37 HALLEY STREET, FIVEDOCK / Telephone: 83 8336 / Read These Instructions Carefully / Before Playing // PLAY ONLY ON A READIOGRAM . 1. Play as a single record on a changer. / 2. Play at a speed of 33-45-78 [33 and 78 are crossed out in blue pen] / 3.Lift off when music finished. / WHEN NECESSARY CLEAN RECORD / WITH A SLIGHTLY MOIST, SOFT CLOTH."
