Brief Description
Iranian Olympic badge, from either 1952 or 1956 Olympic Games. Circular metal badge with coloured enamel. In centre image of a lion standing on a platform of green, red and white, colours of the Iranian flag. Below platform the Olympic rings. Lion holds a sword in one paw, above the lion a sunburst and a red and gold crown. Lion represents symbol on flag of pre-revolutionary Iran. Made in Florence, Italy.
