Brief Description
Australian Sports Medal awarded in 2000. Two medals, 1 large, 1 small, in a black presentation box. Circular medal on yellow and green ribbon. Obverse: Southern Cross and lines depicting the athletics track at the Australian Sports Stadium. Reverse: same track lines with text 'TO COMMEMORATE AUSTRALIAN SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT 2000', and engraved with 'VERN BARBERIS'. Smaller medal exactly the same but without name inscription. Rectangular black box with gold lettering on lid 'AUSTRALIAN SPORTS MEDAL'.
