Brief Description
Towel used at 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. Bone coloured towel with two green and two yellow horizontal stripes. In centre in green text, 'AUSTRALIA'. Fabric label on one side near edge with design of Olympic flame and flags and text 'OLYMPIC GAMES 1956 MANUFACTURED BY SUPERTEX'. Second fabric label on same side but at other end reads 'Super Tex ALL COTTON FAST COLOURS MADE IN AUSTRALIA;.
