4th place medal from 1953 Stockholm World Weightlifting Championships. Medal in two parts. Top section semi-circular in shape with image of a building and text 'VÄRLDMASTERSKAP 1953 STOCKHOLM'. Below text remains of a blue and yellow ribbon. Part 2 circular medal obverse with figure of weightlifter on front, circled by text and floral wreath. Reverse: text 'VARLDSMASTERSKAPEN STOCKHOLM 1953'. First Australian weightlifter to compete in a world championship.
