Brief Description
Small black and white photograph, taken of the Australian XI while sailing to South Africa on tour in 1935-36. Taken by Moira Dowling (nee Sullivan), who was a passenger on the ship. This photograph features Victor Richardson and Len Darling holding quoits on the deck. Signed on front by both Richardson and Darling. Handwritten inscription on reverse reads: "Len, once again and / very good of him and / Victor __ / my __ __ / and a real man. Could / I say more of a man? / If anyone could lead / the team to victory / he could - / Rather a natural __ / of Arthur Mailey in the / background."
