Brief Description
Framed replica guernsey produced during the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Guernsey is white with black cuffs and collar, and colour embroidery of the Olympic rings on the centre chest. There is a 2000 Sydney Olympics logo in the top left hand corner of the mount board, and a 1956 Melbourne Olympics logo in the top right hand corner. Label above guernsey reads 'Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games/Replica Guernsey/Australian Football Demonstration Match/Played 7th December 1956/Melbourne Cricket Ground.' There is a graphic representation of a football oval in the frame below the guernsey, showing the various playing positions on a football field. A separate label below this reads 'Limited Edition / 280/2000'. Label in bottom left hand corner lists the names of the players who participated in the Exhibition match on behalf of the Victorian Amateur Football Association. Label in bottom right hand corner lists the names of the players who participated in the Exhibition match on behalf of the Combined Victorian Football League and Victorian Football Association. In the very bottom right hand corner is a metallic logo noting that this object is an officially licensed product of the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Reverse of object has a wire for hanging. Certificate of authenticity for object is attached to reverse.
